The Ferry Point Valley Sighting.

Who doesn’t love a nice and relaxing Sunday afternoon at the cusp of fall? Harvest season, the season of gathering all that has been sowed. But sometimes the wildlife also gathers what they need to survive. This too can be said of the Deerman, who had been seen throughout the area, and this time around it was spotted by a Father and Daughter who were spending some time together fishing. Now, the fish don’t really bite that much in the area but it’s a place where one can unwind and forget the worries of everyday life.

Though this sighting was somewhat of a strange one, as it was reported that the Deerman was drinking, and how it drank was just what you’d expected. But before I dive into it, the Father and Daughter were on the other side of the body of water. As they were fishing they spotted some strange movement coming from the other side.

It drew the attention of the Daughter who pointed it out to her Father, thinking it may have just been another fisherman or perhaps someone just going for a walk. It was until they noticed something wasn’t right and witnessed the elusive Deerman, they described it has had the lower half of a man and the upper being that of a Deer. It was on its hands and knees and drinking water as if it was going out of style. The type of drinking that was described as an athlete after scoring a goal.

As they watched in amazement the Deerman quickly bolted it’s head and scanned the area, it sensed them, and they knew it. Its mannerisms were like that of a wild Deer. Slowly it stood up and let out a snort. Not knowing what to do the Father and Daughter just stood there and watched in amazement. Then just as quickly as it appeared it bolted away. They didn’t know what they had just seen but they knew it wasn’t normal. Its mannerisms are like that of a wild man crossed with the

Sightings in the area roughly around are on the rise and though in the beginning they’ve been isolated to just a certain spot here or there. But now, it’s almost as if this unknown species is beginning to make its rounds in Central Alberta. Is this our variation of Bigfoot perhaps? I can’t say for sure but if more sightings like this and those that I’m reporting on keep going, it may be time to seek protection rights for them.
