My Experience with the Deerman of Central Alberta.

Now you are probably wondering by the title just what this article is going to be about? I’ve reported for a while on this subject, I figured why not jump in and tell you my personal experience with the Deerman of Central Alberta. I’ve traveled all about the Central Alberta area. I love the small rural communities scattered about the land and meeting such amazing people. Everything, that I’ve documented is something that I love and dedicate my life to documenting. Now, you are probably wondering just why I’m doing this? Well, I love anything cryptid, the very thought of a creature that isn’t Bigfoot lurking around these small communities, that its something that’ll keep you up at night and on your toes if your camping.

Wandering around the small village and Hamlet streets, taking it all in and enjoying the time I have spent on this mission of mine. Do I think the Deerman is real? My answer to that is yes. I do believe that there are creatures out there, animals that haven’t been discovered yet. Creatures that have been brushed off as not existing and thus have been cataloged as being real. Who’s to say that Bigfoot, the Lochness Monster, or Deerman aren’t real? People who dismiss these strange beings are closed minded and are forever living in a life of ignorance. I for one open my arms wide to hug this mysterious creature.

I’ve set up this Blog, a Twitter account, and Youtube Channel in the hopes of spreading awareness of the Deerman of Central Alberta. Perhaps there’s more? Maybe, there is a tribe of them traveling the country. There have been sightings that have been coming in from Manitoba. I have an open mind but this strange entity has occupied most of my free time.

I’m on a mission to bring the truth out about the Deerman, I haven’t heard of anyone being harmed by it and though there have been a few close calls nothing about anyone being mauled to death or killed. Though, it should be said that the Deerman is a wild animal, it’s a creature that shouldn’t be corned or toyed with. This is an undocumented animal that should be given the respect and distance to ensure the safety of the Deerman and of those who wish to investigate such a being. I already am planning an extensive trip to the Villages and Hamlets that have experienced an increase in Deerman sightings.

I honestly hope you all enjoy my articles and please share them with anyone who enjoys the subject of the unknown and mystery to please share this blog and help spread the word. So that the Deerman of Central Alberta can one day be protected from those who wish to do it harm.

A Chance Encounter with an Illegal Hunter.

Night hunting is something that I frown upon, those who go out at night driving around old roads with a rifle or other means of a firearm and shoot whatever they can see. This usual act is something to be arrested over and I agree with it. If you go out at night and blind potential target for sport then you don’t deserve to live in my books. But, this report came from someone who may or may not have taken part in the activity. I just wanted to get my point across on that matter. So please, don’t do it.

On a Summer night outside of Rosalind, Alberta. Down an old almost forgotten by the community. You can find many of these roads out in the country that leads through farmers fields. Though, I won’t suggest you just trespass through fields and potentially destroy someone’s crop. Though, this witness didn’t take that into consideration when he decided it was a good idea to travel down these roads and fields in search of some decent game. But what he got was nothing more than a scary wake-up call.

On that night he drove about and soon caught witness to a Buck that he had his sights on. He waited for a few minutes as he quietly reached for his rifle and as he quickly flung on his high beams and standing before him, just a few feet away from the driver’s side window was the Deerman. In a fit of panic, the cowardly hunter threw the truck into drive and sped off. He reported that for a short period of time the Deerman was catching up to his truck, that was until he turned off onto highway 609, and sped away. He admits that he didn’t slow down until he reached the turnoff until he reaches his home.

The next day he said he returned to the same spot, located on the map but he couldn’t find the Deerman, He thought no one would believe him, that is until he reached out to me, and I believe him. The Deerman is not something you should try and take on yourself when out in the middle of nowhere anything can happen. But also the mind begins to play tricks as well. Who’s to say what honestly happened that night? Was it real or was it indeed a trick of the mind? I’ll leave that up for you to decide.

The Ferry Point Valley Sighting.

Who doesn’t love a nice and relaxing Sunday afternoon at the cusp of fall? Harvest season, the season of gathering all that has been sowed. But sometimes the wildlife also gathers what they need to survive. This too can be said of the Deerman, who had been seen throughout the area, and this time around it was spotted by a Father and Daughter who were spending some time together fishing. Now, the fish don’t really bite that much in the area but it’s a place where one can unwind and forget the worries of everyday life.

Though this sighting was somewhat of a strange one, as it was reported that the Deerman was drinking, and how it drank was just what you’d expected. But before I dive into it, the Father and Daughter were on the other side of the body of water. As they were fishing they spotted some strange movement coming from the other side.

It drew the attention of the Daughter who pointed it out to her Father, thinking it may have just been another fisherman or perhaps someone just going for a walk. It was until they noticed something wasn’t right and witnessed the elusive Deerman, they described it has had the lower half of a man and the upper being that of a Deer. It was on its hands and knees and drinking water as if it was going out of style. The type of drinking that was described as an athlete after scoring a goal.

As they watched in amazement the Deerman quickly bolted it’s head and scanned the area, it sensed them, and they knew it. Its mannerisms were like that of a wild Deer. Slowly it stood up and let out a snort. Not knowing what to do the Father and Daughter just stood there and watched in amazement. Then just as quickly as it appeared it bolted away. They didn’t know what they had just seen but they knew it wasn’t normal. Its mannerisms are like that of a wild man crossed with the

Sightings in the area roughly around are on the rise and though in the beginning they’ve been isolated to just a certain spot here or there. But now, it’s almost as if this unknown species is beginning to make its rounds in Central Alberta. Is this our variation of Bigfoot perhaps? I can’t say for sure but if more sightings like this and those that I’m reporting on keep going, it may be time to seek protection rights for them.

Deerman Spotted Off Highway 609.

An aerial map of the Village that is Rosalind. You can see where Highway 609 comes into play and where Highway 854 crosses over. Township Rd 442 takes over while driving through the Village.

If you’re not familiar with Highway 609, it runs for forty-two kilometers in length or twenty-six miles for those who use the Imperial system. It’s running right under the Village of Rosalind. It’s mainly used by Truckers transporting the harvest or those traveling through the countryside. It’s honestly a very lonely road, nestled between farmers fields, with crops stretching as far as the eye can see. Speckled through the landscape you’ll see the odd farmhouse occupied by hard-working families, though there are some that are nothing but empty shells.

Those who dare to enter will see a world long since forgotten. If those abandoned homesteads could only talk I wonder what they’d say? Though that isn’t important for this article, I just always loved old markers that once held love and life.

This sighting of the Deerman place in the spring of 1987 during the beginning week of June. The weather was warm and smelled like new life was in blossom from the fields where wheat was growing. An old man by the name of J. Roberts, who drove Semi for a company located outside of Edmonton. J. Roberts was transporting his cargo after a long haul through most of the province and in the distance he reported seeing someone or something dart across the highway. Quickly he slammed on the brakes in an attempt not to hurt whatever it was.

While the truck slowed to a halt, he investigated the area and found that he was alone. At first, he thought maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him. But as the dust settled and he calmed down, he turned to his right and saw what could only be described as a man from the stomach down. The rest he said was a mishmash of human qualities crossed with a Deer. He described the head as looking almost exactly like a Buck’s. He went on to describe its eyes as being almost lifeless, like that of a dolls eyes or those of a Great White. He felt a sickening feeling wash over him as if he wasn’t supposed to see the identity of this strange creature.

He recalled that he quickly drove off not wanting anything else to do with it. Since this encounter, he’s always kept his eye’s out for it and so he began documenting his experiences with it. Though, that was the first and only time he laid witness to the Deerman.

Just what is this mix of human and animal? Where did it come from? And is it of this Earth? This is not just an isolated incident of the only oddity within the world around us. From Bigfoot to the Lochness Monster and even to the Mothman. We are hearing reports of creatures that the evolution books tell us that shouldn’t be real. Is this the new era of mutant creatures coming out of the woodwork? Perhaps, all the GMO’s and chemicals we use and flush into the environment once we’re done with them helped give a hand in their existence? It wouldn’t be the first time to be honest with you if you don’t believe me look up “The Squid of Plant 9” the text is linked for your convenience.

Maybe it’s the effect of our interference with nature? If so, if that’s the case then are their more? When there’s one there’s usually a group of them to breed. I’m not sure, but I intend to find out and take you along for the ride.

If you’ve witnessed the Deerman of Central Alberta or know someone who has, I’d love to hear from you. Please email me at thedeermanofcentralalberta@gmail.com or message me on Twitter.

Introduction to the Deerman of Rosalind, Alberta.

I’m starting this forum of sorts in the hope of educating those who haven’t heard of the Deerman.

First of all, let me just say that I am no way a crackpot. The legend of the Deerman started in the playgrounds

of small Albertan rural communities and with many who claim to have seen this abnormal being.

Now, you probably wonder why I’m doing this? And believe me, I ask myself that too. But it’s for fun, I’m

researching this topic in the hopes of bringing it to the forefront of educating those who are interested in the

field of Cryptozoology or those who just love to read up on urban legends and the unknown.

The origins of the Deerman dates back to before the incorporation of Rosalind into a village back in 1966.

Many eyewitnesses reported spotting said creature during the summer and harvest season. Usually on the

outskirts of the fields, watching the farmers plant and harvest. Many seem to think that the Deerman is the

offspring of beast and the Devil. In a vain attempt of spreading its evil to others. While some say it’s a genetic

experiment that broke free.

Though many claim to have seen it, there are still few who think it’s a hoax, created by the hands of bored farm

kids. This may be the case, but I am here to document everything that I find. In a hope to better understand this

creature and put this story to rest.

The first sighting was by the son of a farmer who’s family traveled there for a better life. Once established there,

they turned to farm the land in the hopes of raising a crop. Soon, that reported hearing strange sounds coming

from the fields at dusk and when they would wake up. They passed these sounds off to nothing more than Coyotes

possibly. Soon, livestock joined the farm and over a matter of a few weeks the Cows were dying off one by one.

Reports were springing up over the county that sightings of a strange being running across country roads startling

those who’ve witnessed such a sight. It was the Deerman, ever since the founding of the town these sightings have

lived on over the generations. Has this being called that chunk of the land home before the founding or was it

brought perhaps from a family that was cursed? Or maybe it’s a warning of things to come. Maybe a doorway has

been opened that needs to be shut?
